This top-level community includes content deposited through external partnerships supported by the University of Toronto Libraries. These include materials contributed through the CARL Adoptive Repositories Program, as well as journal articles deposited under agreements with specific publishers, such as Canadian Science Publishing.

Through the CARL Adoptive Repositories Program, TSpace hosts research materials for institutions across Canada that do not currently operate their own institutional repository. Faculty members and researchers affiliated with participating organizations may deposit their work in TSpace.

Depositors are responsible for ensuring they have permission to upload their research materials and for granting the University of Toronto Libraries a universal, non-exclusive license to preserve and distribute those materials through TSpace. If a participating institution establishes its own repository in the future, the University of Toronto Libraries will, at the depositor’s direction, facilitate the transfer of a copy of the materials to that repository.
