Artifacts include registered objects (described in greater detail in the “Artifacts List” collection in the Godin Tepe TSpace community), unregistered objects recorded in field notes and lot sheets, and pottery sherds. The pottery is classified according to function and stylistic type (described in the Godin IV typology located in the Godin Period IV Pottery collection of this community). Some of the oplots listed here have been reassigned to Godin Periods III or VI, based on Rothman’s reinterpretation of the stratigraphy. It provides the context and phase of each lot for each operation (square or test trench). All artifacts excavated after the middle of the 1969 season (i.e. all Godin Period IV contexts) are labeled with the operation and lot (oplot) numbers. Whenever possible, the artifacts listed in the main objects list (to be found in the “Artifacts List” collection in the Godin Tepe TSpace community) are assigned to one of these oplots. The location and nature of the find spot at the site can be traced through these provenience lists.
