Archives of Muslims in Canada

Abstract

The IIS sponsors a research group called the Study of Islam and Muslims in Canada (SIMiC). Among SIMiC's various projects, the IIS is launching MiCA, the Muslims in Canada Archive. This report provides an environmental scan of Canada's archival landscape, showcasing the fundamental gaps in both archival records and archival practices that render Muslims virtually invisible in Canadian archives across the country.
