Abstract
A policy report addresses the downstream unintended consequences on Canadian Muslim charities, especially humanitarian ones, of Canada's anti-money laundering, anti-terrorist financing, and sanctions regime.
Description
This author prepared this report in coordination with the Office of the Special Envoy on Combatting Islamophobia, Government of Canada. That office was shut down in February 2026. The author extends his gratitude to that office and its civil servants, while noting that nothing herein reflects the views of the Government of Canada.
